Just wanted to let you know that Dave, Mary-Frances and David made it safely to Kitwe.\u00a0 The journey went smoothly.\u00a0 It took them about 36 hours to get there, but they are well and all of our luggage made it there!\u00a0 Praise God.\u00a0 Here is an excerpt from the e-mail that Dave sent home this morning:<\/p>\n
\nI miss you so much.\u00a0 We are all three doing well.\u00a0 I am so proud of David and Mary-Frances.\u00a0 They are brave and flexible and helpful and darn sweet too!\u00a0 I am at Bonnie’s desk so I won’t email a lot but we hope to work on our internet at our house today as well as a cell phone too and I hope to communicate more later.<\/em> <\/p>\n The time change has been fairly easy to adjust to.\u00a0 Traveling just wears you down so much that falling asleep on time is no problem.\u00a0 You will like the house.\u00a0 It feels mostly safe.\u00a0 There are a lot of new noises to get used to at night but we will be fine there.\u00a0 We have a ton of work to do to get organized in the house but that is our mission and we are glad to do it.\u00a0 The shower was freezing this morning.\u00a0 I will figure that out.\u00a0 The children did not complain about this at all.\u00a0 We are feeling very much like missionaries and consider it a privilege to be counted worthy of such a title here.<\/em><\/p>\n Africa is as beautiful as I remember it being and so are the people for sure.\u00a0 Do not worry about coming or living here.\u00a0 God will watch over our family as we continue to live for only His glory.<\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n Thank you for your continued prayers and support.<\/p>\n With love,<\/p>\n Shelley<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Just wanted to let you know that Dave, Mary-Frances and David made it safely to Kitwe.\u00a0 The journey went smoothly.\u00a0 It took them about 36 hours to get there, but they are well and all of our luggage made it … Continue reading |
